Nic Cox is classically trained on Piano & Violin, and studied composition at the RSAMD, Glasgow, Scotland. He started work as a bass player in a Bluegrass Band, and became a professional Rock Bass Player. Having been involved in the Music Industry since 1973, he became Sound Engineer with Spaceward Studios of Cambridge in 1980. In 1982 Nic left Spaceward to design and manage his own recording studio called Rose Studios, which was based in London. Originally the studio operated commercial recording services for recording artists and Independent Record Companies but it's services expanded through the 1980s and the company found more lucrative opportunities within music training. In 1995 Nic become a partner of the Music Design Company in Glasgow who supplied audio to the film, TV and advertising media, Commercial Clients include Ballantines Whisky Europe 1998 TV /Ad campaign, Live & CDRom music for RCA Fashion & Textiles Graduate Multimedia Show 1998, Allied Distillers Taste of the Glens Whisky CD, Bird Semple Conference Multimedia show, Barker & Stonehouse TV Ads, Ayrshire Enterprise CDRom, Scottish Mutual, Pegasus, The Tunnel interactive touch screen project, amongst many others. In 1999 he set up Sounds The Earth, and is currently re-developing the website which was Scotland's first virtual record label.
Cox is currently working on his second Opera: "Prometheus" for Tenor, Alto, Chorus, & small orchestra. He is also writing & recording material for Virtual Lemmings & Superstringz for new release in 2010.
